This is how I solved a recent communication challenge with a client

One thing I’m proud of in my work is making sure my translations sound natural and clear in Japanese.

Recently, I worked with a U.S. company on their product ad. Their English slogan had a clever wordplay, but it didn’t make sense in Japanese. I explained the issue to the client and gave them three new slogan options in Japanese that kept the same meaning and feeling. They chose the one that fit their brand best.

The campaign went well, and the client was happy with the result. It showed me how important it is to not just translate words, but to help the message connect with the audience.
