About Me

I am a young and professional translator. I defended my Master dissertation in Translation Studies and Intercultural Communication a couple of months ago, in the Advanced School of Translators and Interpreters (ASTI), located in Buea, in Cameroon. I am currently writing another Master dissertation in Translation Studies, in the University of Yaounde I.
As far as my experience within the domain of translation is concerned, I translated about 2,000,000 words for online platforms such as Pactera Edge, Translators Without Borders, Transperfect, Coursera, TED, and so on. I equally worked for direct clients in Cameroon. My areas of specialty are Economics, IT Security and International Humanitarian Law.
I have a pertinent and valuable experience both academically and professionally, as far as translation is concerned. I equally offer revision, proofreading and editing services.
I am equally specialised in video game localisation and mangas translation.

This is how I continue my learning in my area of expertise

As far as my three areas of expertise are concerned, I download most recent books within those fields and I read them, both in English and French, so as to be more and more familiar with each of those domains.
I equally use those books and articles to build terminological databases that are useful when translating with computer-assited translation tools such as SDL Trados and Wordfast.
To keep learning in my areas of expertise, I follow seminars and conferences related to them.
