I have five years experience in academic translation, specializing in education and humanities research.
This is how I solved a recent terminology, style, or linguistic challenge
How many is mucho? In the context of debate between left and right-wing factions in Spain, stated that “muchos inmigrantes son musulmanes.” A look at the population census indicated that 15% of immigrants to Spain are from predominantly Muslim countries, and so the use of “many” in english implied that the author was sympathetic to the right-wing perspective, as opposed to simply reporting it. Including the census data in the article, after consulting with the author, made the phrase more precise and preempted a problem with the reviewers.
This is what motivates me to do my best work
I really really like academic writing that is engaging and compelling, even when dealing with technical issues. If I have to study geometry to make that happen (and it has happened), it’s part of the pleasure.
Excelente trato.

I used Tristan services for the correction of a couple of academic articles written originaly in English. He is very professional, you can notice he has a high academic level and he is native. In addition, he explains the corrections very well so that you can learn for the next time.
