About Me

I am a freelance translator of the language combinations that include German, English and/or Croatian. I have more than 10 years of translation experience. For the past 8 years translating has been my full time job as an employee in a translation company and last year I started my own freelance business.

Why translating?
I earned my MA degree in education of English and German language and literature in 2010.

During several years of cooperation with translation agencies and private clients, I gained experience in various translation fields: automotive industry (>200 000 words), technical engineering, tourism, hospitality, gastronomy, education, economy, user manuals for different devices (including medical equipment: Dräger, B.Braun, Omron etc. > 70 000), intellectual property, EMA reports (approximately 10 000) etc.

I use CAT tools (Trados Studio, Phrase, Across, Transit, Translation Workspace etc.) on a daily basis. My daily output is about 2000 sw.

My professional methodology for a standard translation project is

read the source file, get familiar with the topic, research similar texts written in target language.
