I started my career working for a firm of patent attorneys in Munich, then set up a translation business specialising in patents and IP. I translate mainly from German and French into English and occasionally from Russian to English. I also offer revision and editing services.
After a number of years I developed a second specialism in medical translation and now also work on reviews of clinical trials. In addition to these specialisations, I also enjoy working on more general texts, such as presentations, websites and press releases.
I am a Chartered Linguist and as such am able to provide certified translations of documents.
I am an active member of several professional organisations, including the Institute of Translation and Interpreting, the Chartered Institute of Linguists and the BDÜ and regularly engage in CPD activities and courses for developing translation skills.
I aim to provide high-quality translations that are tailored to individual requirements and particularly enjoy helping clients find solutions to complex problems.
This is how I continue my learning in my area of expertise
One of the best parts about my job is learning new things and having to research new developments in technology and science. I need to find the correct terminology for patent and medical translations and I relish the challenge!
