About Me

Ruqaya Al-Taie holds a PhD degree in Translation from Queen’s University Belfast (QUB), UK. She had been a Teaching Assistant of Language-Specific Workshops for Master’s students (2016-2018) at QUB. She is currently a Lecturer at the Department of Translation / University of Basrah, Iraq (2019-present).
Currently, she is a Freelance Translator and a Chartered Linguist (CL) at the Chartered Institute of Linguists (CIOL), UK (https://www.ciol.org.uk/translator/profile/47491/36/9839) working with Arabic and English languages.
Also, Ruqaya is a member of the Editorial Board for the Linguist at CIOL, UK (2021-present). In addition to that, she is the Managing Editor of Adab Al-Basra Journal in Iraq (2021-present). In addition, she is a Member of Founding Editorial Team and Head of the Proofreading Team for the IMPACT Journal at QUB, UK.
