About Me

‎# Portuguese expert‎
I have a degree in Brazilian Portuguese (mother tongue), an ‎‎M.A.‎‎ ‎and ‎almost a ‎‎Ph.D.‎ in Brazilian literature.‎
Furthermore, I spent ‎‎10 years teaching Portuguese‎‎ and literature in high ‎schools and colleges, and ‎‎3 years teaching English‎‎ at ‎‎CCAA.‎
I have also been proofreading academic texts since 2006, and transcribing recordings in Portuguese since 2015.

This is how I continue my learning in my area of expertise

I continue to learn by taking language courses, attending translators’ forums, groups and events, joining my union, reading texts in the field, etc.

It was a pleasure to work with Roberto on a huge Pt-Fr project.
The translations re all business/quality/rail texts and he handled them well.
He was easy to work with, asked all relevant questions and merged with the rest of the team (there were 10-12 working on the same project at the sane time) easily and professionally.
I will certainly ask him to join any other Pt-Fr project in the future, and I hope you will do too.
