About Me

I am a Romanian translator and interpreter. I hold a BA Certificate in Translation and Interpreting for English and French.

A translator/interpreter is what describes me best as I am involved and keen to send the exact same message and meaning from one language into another.

I am open to suggestions following the instructions of the client. Whenever in doubt in regards to words/sentences, I contact the client in order to clarify (I never assume!).

I am experienced in different domains but I must admit, I enjoy legal translations the most, especially for civil cases. However, if you are in need of any other type of translation, whether it be general, technical, medical, from a criminal matter, please do not hesitate contact me.

In regards to interpreting I have completed bookings over the phone, face-to-face and video. I have interpreted in different settings such as Criminal, Civil, Immigration and casual.

This is how I solved a recent terminology, style, or linguistic challenge

Last time I had an issue with a word (i.e. trying to find the best term for the context) I simply searched until I felt comfortable translating it.

This is how I continue my learning in my area of expertise

I am learning new things every day, from different translation techniques to different synonyms of a word. I also attend different webinars for translators/interpreters in order to expand my expertise.

This is how I would describe my work style

My work style is very neat and direct. I am doing my best to do things as simple and as organised as possible. This facilitates my time for work and it helps the client as well.

My modus operandi for communicating with clients is

I love to communicate with clients, especially because I work in the translation field and I like to understand the client’s needs completely.
