About Me

Thank you for stopping by! I’m Renata, and I’ve been working as a translator since November 2017. I’ve been specializing in audiovisual translation, specifically dubbing script translation & adaptation, and subtitling. My language pair is English > Portuguese (Brazil). I’ve taken a number of courses in audiovisual translation, including ESTRADA, UCL, and GTC Treinamento. Using inclusive language is always at the forefront of everything I do, being a member of the LGTBQIA+ community.

This is how I continue my learning in my area of expertise

I take at least two online courses on audiovisual translation in a year. Also, I listen to podcasts on the subjects, engage with fellow specialists online, and read books on the topic.

This is what motivates me to do my best work

I love getting meaningful feedback and I use it to improve my work. I love that many people will be able to watch what I work on streaming platforms. It makes me feel extremely proud and happy that I’ve made amazing, changing stories available to a whole lot of people.
