I’ve been working as a German to English translator for over 4 years, both in-house and freelance..
I specialise in the transcreation of long-form texts, from commercial press releases and newsletters to biographical pieces and history blog posts. Ultimately, I would like to start moving towards literary translation.
My professional methodology for a standard translation project is
I draft the whole text, then I go through and edit it again and again (and again…). This means that if I don’t spot an error or a dodgy translation the first time round, I’ll be sure to catch it later.
