About me

I am a native French speaker with a Bachelor’s dregree in English Studies, a Masters degree in Business Translation and Interpreting and a PhD in Translation Studies.
With over 5 years’ experience working in the translation industry, both as in-house linguist and freelance translator, I can use my expertise to help clients in the cultural, education and tourism sectors to communicate with their French-speaking audience.

Because I specialise in heritage and cultural content, I like to think that I contribute to helping people from different cultural backgrounds better understand each other.

This is how I manage terminology consistency in my area of expertise

I create an exclusive terminological database for each of my clients (or clients can send me an existing database if they would prefer me to use that). This enables me to ensure that terminology is translated accurately and consistently project after project.

This is how I continue my learning in my area of expertise

I take part in regular CPD activities to continue to improve as a professional translator. These can be formal conferences or workshops on a specific area of translation practice or more informal discussions (in-person or online) with colleagues.
