Create eye-catching headings
By using the # symbol with a space, you can help your clients notice you and get them to want to know more! If you use keywords related to your specialization(s) in the headings, this will help boost the SEO of your profile, helping your clients find you whenever they search for you.
Use bolded keywords in your text
This is another great way to boost your SEO! If a client searches for a “video game translator“ on Google, for example, having those same words bolded in your profile makes it easier for them to find you. Use a double asterisk (**) on both sides of the keyword to bold it.
Make clients stick around on your profile
Making your profile easier to skim through helps your chances of impressing your prospect client. Here’s a couple of ways to do that.
Use a dash with a space (- ) to create bulleted lists that feature the stuff you want your clients to notice about you the most. These could be:
- a list of the types of texts you work with
- a list of clients you’ve worked with successfully in the past
- a list of translations you’ve done.
Use numbered lists to create the same effect! With both bullets and numbers, you can also:
- Write down the rules you follow in your work that show that you’re a professional
- List out the CAT tools you’re great at working with.
- Show off!
Use second headings to add some flair
As you can see on Janus Kroz’s profile, second headings are a great way to make your text look stylish and accentuate the way you like to work! Use a double ladder (##) to create a second heading your clients will love to read.

Here’s a great spot for references from clients you’ve previously worked with! A satisfied client with whom you’ve built a rapport will be more than happy to share the experience they’ve had with you. All you have to do is ask!
