About Me

Hey there.

I am Noble Adounkpe, a French translator specializing in translating agriculture, industrial engineering and IT-related content from English to French.

I graduated with a Master of Arts in Translation from the “École Supérieure de Traducteurs et Interprètes” in 2021, but had been busy translating for direct clients and agencies before then, thus rounding up 8 years of experience in translation.

My clients love working with me because I know the fields inside out, never miss a deadline and I’m not afraid to ask questions. Likewise, I enjoy building effective relationships with clients to establish translation requirements and submit accurate, grammatical and terminologically correct content.

I am deadline-conscious and can handle high volume demands.

This is how I manage terminology consistency in my area of expertise

Terminology and documentary research go hand in glove before and during translation.

Fully informed of the client’s request or style guide, I search various term bases to find appropriate equivalents to terms, no matter the context or field. Next, I compile the terms and their equivalents in a term list which can be converted into a CAT tool readable format. Using a CAT tool like Trados, I can then add the term list and client-specific terms into the software to ensure consistency in the translated text.
