Background in Physics and Translation studies
I have a BSc in Physics and have also worked as a Mathematics and Physics teacher.
My passion has always been languages and being able to combine my degree and knowledge of the technical world with linguistics led me to pursue a career as a technical translator.
I attended a one-year Translator Training Program, during which I acquired specializations in technical and scientific texts as well as reverse translation and graduated summa cum laude.
Content I translate and experience
As a freelancer, apart from translating general texts I have worked on texts of the following sectors:
- Science & Technology
(Worked on translating a Big Cryptocurrency News website)
(Being an avid gamer my whole life and rotating through many different game genres has given me the tools to understand the gaming world in general. I have translated for a League of Legends stats website.)
- I’ve been a chess player since I was 8(2002) with many great results in national(many victories and top 10 finishes in youth and school tournaments) and international tournaments.
- I’ve played Water Polo since I was 13(2007). I participated in many national tournaments and have held the position of captain for my team for a significant period of time. Through all this, I have acquired a great sense of discipline, I can perform well under pressure and coordinate effortlessly in a team.
This is how I continue my learning in my area of expertise
Having specialties that also are actual personal hobbies and interests makes researching and keeping up with news much easier and entertaining at the same time.
