About Me

I specialize in literary and marketing translation

I have an Master’s degree in English and Italian language and literature, and I’m currently working as an English teacher with italian clients.

Content I translate

Copywriting translation / transcreation

I have been translating Marketing copywriting for two years now, including social media posts, websites and newsletters.

Literary translation

I deal with all kinds of literary texts that may require translation - from journal articles to short stories and books.

Localisation in customer service

I’ve worked in customer service for years using several languages, and have completed localisation projects for various companies, including BIP.

When clients request literal translations, this is how I handle the situation

I would explain that a translation needs to sound natural to native speakers. In a lot of cases we can’t translate things literally, because the text would lose on the meaning. For example, you cannot translate an idiom directly in another language - what if it doesn’t exist in that form? For similar instances, we need to do some research and translate the meaning of the text, keeping in mid the culture of the language we’re translating into.
