I am a native Farsi speaker, a Proz Certified PRO Translator (EN-FA, FA-EN), and have worked as an English<>Farsi and Dari-English translator, proofreader, and localizer since 2014. I’m also a member of Proz’s Pool of Subtitlers. I have done an MA in Translation Studies and a BA in English Translator Training (graduated with honors).
My niche areas are marketing, law, healthcare, and gaming. My working fields include a wider range of subjects such as commercial correspondence, tourism, education, IT and computers, user manuals, psychology, and sports.
Quality, punctuality, and professional ethics are of utmost importance to me as a freelance translator and localizer EN<>FA, and I carry out each project I’m assigned concerning these factors. Client confidentiality is vital to me, and I do not disclose any detail I am provided with during, before, or after projects. I also guarantee total dedication to deadlines as I have never missed one during my career so far. And you do not need to worry about my technology skills: I am familiar with many CAT tools such as Smartcat, SDL Trados Studio, memoQ, Memsouce, Matecat, and Wordfast as well as audiovisual translation tools such as Subtitle Edit and Ooona. I do not brag about being the best, of course, but I always try my best to meet the clients’ needs.
This is how I continue my learning in my area of expertise
I read the latest linguistic articles and debates, especially on the Persian structure and morphology. I read some new articles on translation technologies on the weekend. I read specialized books, And I take selected CPD courses on subject matters like audiovisual translation and translation technologies.
