My professional methodology for a standard translation project is

—Analysing the source files and the translation needs,
—Making everything clear with the client,
—Once the project is confirmed, start working on it,
—Depending on the type of document, using a computer-assisted translation tool. However, I will not run your texts in a machine translator for quality and confidentiality reasons,
—Proofreading 3 times: bilingual proofreading, monolingual proofreading for internal consistency, reading out loud for style,
—Delivering the document and keeping a “follow-up” file ready, just in case.
