About Me

My name is María Luisa Badiola, and I am a freelance translator. I am a Translation and Interpreting graduated with two years of experience within the marketing and audiovisual fields.

My language combination is English, French and Italian into Spanish (mother tongue). In addition, I am familiarized with the use of CAT Tools like SDL Trados, TMS Phrase, Matecat and memoQ (I have licence for all of them), as well as in making use of software focused on AVT, like Subtitle Edit or Aegisub.

In terms of AVT, I have professional experience subtitling and translating scripts of different documents like interviews, YouTube videos and short films for relevant organisms –for instance, OxfordSparks (University of Oxford).

On the other hand, regarding marketing translation, I have been working with renowned communication and press agencies in Spain for the last years, translating their campaigns, press releases, internal presentations, website content, among other tasks.
