Natural, refined, yet adapted to each particular register.

When clients request literal translations, this is how I handle the situation

By keeping them accurate as well as grammatically and syntactically correct at all times, avoiding overly literal, ridiculous translations (such as, for example, those of ‘false friends’).

This is how I continue my learning in my area of expertise

Apart from what I learn by just translating everyday, I keep reading and reading… and then I read some more. That helps me absorb and retain specific terminology and lingo. Besides, I periodically take industry-specific training courses in areas such as legal translation.

I primarily rely on a number of state-of-the-art translation and quality assurance tools that boost my productivity while providing consistent translations. Besides, I perform thorough terminology research for the sake of accuracy — I particularly love that specific detective work. :)
