About Me

I’m Maivé, I’m a French to Spanish and Spanish to French translator (FR<>ES) graduated from the National University of La Plata (UNLP). I also studied Audiovisual Translation at the National Technological University (UTN).

I have experience in translating poems, novels, comics, institutional guides, stories, subtitles and more.

I know how to use CAT (computer-assisted translation) tools such as Trados Studio, Memsource, Wordfast and XBench, and tools for subtitling such as Subtitle Edit, Aegisub, Subtitle Workshop and CaptionHub.

My areas of interest are related to literary translation (especially comics, stories and novels), audiovisual translation (conventional, SDH) and scientific translation in general.

I offer my services in translation from French to Spanish, correction, revision, transcription (Spanish) and subtitling (conventional, SDH, spotting and embedding).

This is how I would describe my work style

I’m not only a graduated translator in legal, scientific, literary and audiovisual translation, but I also studied language and literature in Spanish so I’m always reviewing my own translations.
