Not only was I awarded a degree as a Sworn Translator from the 5-year course of studies I graduated from, but I’ve also chosen a path in legal translation after graduating.
I’ve been working full-time as a translator since I graduated from a 5-year course of studies in English-Spanish Translation at the very prestigious University of La Plata, Buenos Aires.
Experience
The fields I’m most passionate about and enjoy working on the most are Legal, Corporate, HR, Healthcare, Tourism, Marketing, and education. I especially enjoy the fields that leave some room for creative expression.
This is how I solved a recent terminology, style, or linguistic challenge
A client sent me tenths of Excel files with terminology, so I turned that into a TB that I was able to upload to my CAT tool so I’d be able to make sure I wasn’t mistranslating anything, without having to go back and forth to those Excel documents.
Maite Urruspuru is a great linguistic professional. I got the chance to meet her when I was working as a Project Manager at a localization company, and she was always ready for the next challenge. A true detail-oriented translator and editor, she has +7 experience in the language service industry. She is proficient in CAT tools, enjoys learning new translation software and can easily adapt to any specific program used by clients to deliver high-quality work. Most important of all, Maite is a wonderful human being, and you can always trust her judgement.
Maite is an excellent translator who delivers quality work on time, does a thorough job and is always keen to help her clients get the best linguistic services. A pleasure to work with!
