I’m a native Slovak speaker with a lifelong passion for languages. I taught myself German as a child by watching German television — what started with cartoons turned into an everyday habit. Since then, German has been part of nearly every aspect of my life: I attended a bilingual German–Slovak middle school and later earned my Master’s degree in Translation and Interpreting with German and English as my working languages.

Growing up in Slovakia, Czech naturally became part of my linguistic world — like most Slovaks, I picked it up fluently through media and everyday exposure.

Later, English became a key part of my education and life, and nowadays, I’m also learning Spanish in my free time.

During my studies, I completed a professional internship at a translation agency, where I focused mainly on technical texts, received direct feedback, and learned to work efficiently with memoQ. At university, I also trained with Trados and Memsource, which gave me a solid base in CAT tools.

Alongside my studies, I worked part-time online for Peugeot, specifically in the Austrian department, which further strengthened my professional German.

My academic journey reflects my love for translation:

My Bachelor’s thesis focused on translating children’s literature (Slovak → German)

My Master’s thesis examined AI-generated YouTube subtitles (Slovak → English)

I currently enjoy working with general texts, blog content, subtitles, and creative or literary translation. I adapt quickly to various styles and topics, and I’m always eager to learn more.

Translation is not just my qualification — it’s something I live and grow with.
