About Me

Every culture is unique

Having been born in one country and raised in another, I realized from a very early age that not only do different languages allow for different worldviews, but that the same language spoken differently in different parts of the world can have a similar outcome.

I therefor pried myself in catching cultural nuances in order to attain results that will resonate with each particular reader, while maintaining the original message.

What I translate

Anthing and Everything. Though I’ve specialized in literary translations, I’ve gained experience as a Localizer for a music distribution site, proofread blogs and even translated medical and political documents. This has allowed to move fluently from one topic to the next.

This is how I would describe my work style

First of, I try to get a sense of the client; whether they’ll be hand’s on or do they just want someone to get the job done. Once that’s done, I get to work on each translation with their particular interest in mind, asking for feedback only once I’ve obtained a finished result. Depending on their comments, I’ll later edit or scratch it all together until I reach a result the client is content with. This, of course, implies fast delivery without sacrificing any bit of thoroughness in the work.
