Experience

I have eight years of experience as an editor, proofreader and project manager in and for prestigious academic publishing houses such as Cambridge University Press. During the pandemic I decided to invest in my dream of working as a full-time translator and completed my MA in Translation & Interpreting Studies at the University of Manchester, in which I received a distinction and the Top Student Award.

Translation is now a key pillar of my freelance business and I’m able to draw on my years in publishing to bring editorial expertise, copy-crafting skills and a sharp eye for detail to my translations.

I have experience working with Francophone texts from France, Belgium, Switzerland, Canada, North Africa, Cambodia and Vietnam and have developed excellent research skills when it comes to identifying and transferring culturally specific items and references.
