About Me

I currently study languages and literature in Universidade de São Paulo (USP), which is the highest ranking university of Latin America. The main languages I study right now are German and French, but I also have been studying and learning English for the past ten years. I have been Latin since 2017 and Ancient Greek since 2022. Both languages boosted my language acquisition and helped me understand the deep structures of Romance languages. I am most experienced in translations from English, German, Latin and French to Portuguese.

This is how I solved a recent terminology, style, or linguistic challenge

In the first semester 2023 I had to translate an entire discourse by Cicero from Latin into Portuguese. To recreate his style was one of the hardest challenges I faced during that work, but I accomplished it through research, reading aloud and patiently revising. A great translator and professor of Latin literature at my University who had just translated the same discourse and was about to publish it praised my work. This experience motivated me to improve my translating skills and to work harder on my tasks.
