Native English (GB) speaker in Portsmouth, England
When you write your copy for your website you want to transport your reader to that place. The same goes for when you are writing scripts for audio guides. You want your audience to feel like they are experiencing first-hand the history you are describing. A translation of those texts should do the same. I have experience working with these types of text and understand how important tone and style can be. Let me work with you to capture and enchant a wider audience.

What
So, what can I do for you?
The services I offer are translation, proofreading, editing and MTPE. I specialise in Food, Food Production, Tourism and Education but that doesn’t mean I can’t translate in other areas too. Contact me for a free chat about your project to see what we can do.
Where
I am a native English speaker based in the South East of England. Is this really relevant? Absolutely! It is important for you to know that you are working with a native who fully understands the nuances of their language and how to communicate with different audiences effectively. This is why I only ever translate into English.
Why
Languages are my first love. Translation allows me to combine them with all the other things I am interested in, so it never really feels like work.
How
Research, research, research! Any dictionary will tell you that the Spanish word ‘corona’ means ‘crown’ in English. But if you are translating a product description for a bit of machinery it means ‘ring gear’. I use a combination of online resources and good old-fashioned books to get this sort of terminology issue right. Why books still? Sometimes it takes old school methods to get the job done well.
My modus operandi for communicating with clients is
I will communicate at every stage of the project, and not only via email. I am happy to discuss the work with you via video chat or over the phone. I will start by ensuring I have as much detail as possible about your project and I am happy to discuss my work throughout.
