I am Laura Sabău and I have been a freelance translator, editor and reviewer since 2008, when I graduated from the Applied Modern Languages Department, Faculty of Letters of the Babeș-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca.
I translate from English and French into Romanian and I am specialised in the following domains: life sciences and healthcare, legal, academic, business and marketing, social sciences and IT.
I worked for over twelve years with top management teams in the medical and educational systems, and this experience helped me earn a lot of valuable things about organizing large events and dealing with challenging situations and people.
I strongly believe in quality translations, in continuous learning and in the power of multidisciplinary teams, and this is the reason why in 2018 I decided to do something for the community of translators from Romania and abroad. I am the co-founder of TranslateCluj, and together with a wonderful and enthusiastic team, I organise CPD events for language professionals.
