I’m a specialized all rounder
Because there are so many subjects that are interesting. For me, translation means learning. I get to know so much new stuff! The world is a like a candystore to me.
I do have my preferences
In my huge pile of experience there are a few subjects that have my special attention. A large part of my work concerns business communciations and I love to sink my teeth in life science, and tourism/travel
- I would love to grow in life sciences.
- I recently discovered subtitling, I like the challenge of the delimited wordcount and the puzzle to make it all fit
- Sometimes I can make use of the knowledge I have in the fields of my hobbies: photography, birdwatching, DIY couture, but I would love to get more of that.
This is what motivates me to do my best work
I get really motivated when there’s a large order, or long lasting business relationship, so I can really dive deep into a subject and learn all there is to know about it. I am always eager to learn.
My modus operandi for communicating with clients is
I florish in an open, mutual communication, where I get honest feedback, with the opportunity to improve myself. I am very loyal, so once we’ve created a business relationship, I automatically do my utmost best to please the client, hoping that the client does the same for me
