My name is Josefin Erlandsson and I’m a Freelancing Translator currently based in Sweden. I translate from Japanese and Korean, to Swedish and English, specializing in Literary, Manga and Subtitle Translation.

Apart from translation I also have experience in copywriting, graphic design and creating language learning content and courses.

Over five years of lived experience in Japan and South Korea, each.
Specialized in Linguistics, Japanese and Korean Language at the School of International Liberal Studies at Waseda University.
Avid fiction-reader in all of my known languages!

This is how I continue my learning in my area of expertise

I am constantly striving to improve my language skills, and not just in my source–and non-native languages–but also in my native language.

I spend a great deal of my free time reading mostly fiction of all kinds in all of my known languages to keep up to date with current literary styles and to increase my vocabulary and translation, as well as creative writing skills.

Speaking of creative writing–I also write fiction in Swedish, which is the main language to which I do my literary translations, so I am always working on my craft as a writer in general, which I think is an essential skill in literary translation.
