About Me

Hello World!
My name is Jelena Delibasic. I am a professional English to Serbian translator and interpreter with 13 years of experience. I started my career as an in-house translator and interpreter. I translate documents related to social policy, labour and trade union issues, human rights, environmental protection and politics.

    1. At the moment I'm attending a marketing translation course by Crisol Translation Services hoping to gain more knowledge and skills because I love translating texts for the purpose of marketing.
     2. Also, I have extensive experience in translation for construction companies. I have worked on localization of their websites and materials as they are planning to expand to Serbian market.
     3. Another area of my expertise is subtitling. There is a client who trusts me to make subtitles into English mostly for educational videos.

Last but not the least, I am in love with interpretation. I do both consecutive and simultaneous interpretation.

As Steve Jobs once said, ‘The only way to do great work, is to love what you do’, and I really love what I do.

This is how I would describe my work style

When I get an email from a client, I tend to reply as soon as possible because I believe that’s how a professional, responsible person should behave. I know how it feels to be left without an answer from an agency.
Then, I talk about the conditions for the task at hand and the deadline. I think very hard about my capacities at the moment and the realistic time I can deliver the job and negotiate on that.
