An important part of my curriculum studying at WUR was biochemistry. I have since maintained a keen interest in the development of pharmaceuticals. Last year, I forewent vaccination with AstraZeneca as I was well aware that the mRNA products from Pfizer by far exceeded the effectiveness of other vaccines. I also predicted that Sinovac would turn out to be an inferior product. Recent experience and generally shared insights in the pharmaceutical industry have proven me right on both counts.
