About Me

Medical background

I am Greek native speaker with a medical background (MD, MSc in Basic Medical Sciences, PhD in Breast Cancer Pathology, Certified Radiologist). I have also graduated from the 2-year translation course of Metafrasi School of Translation Studies.

My academic background (you can check my published research work here) has provided me with comprehensive knowledge not only of medicine per se, but also of different aspects of basic medical sciences (genetics, neuroscience, anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, biochemistry, etc.). Due to my work as primary care physician and radiologist consultant, I have an in-depth experience in different medical settings. Furthermore, radiology has advanced my writing skills and sharpened my ability for accurate technical writing.

I am also an editor in BARTOC terminology registry and contributor to the Dictionary of Ophthalmology (acknowledged and supported by the European Society of Ophthalmology).
