Me gustaban mucho aquellos zapatos,
pero sentí que la niña los necesitaba más que yo.
–Ojalá hubiese un faro que nos iluminase
y nos pudiésemos guiar mejor en esta vida –dijo.
Mi madre se agachó y la abrazó.
Los zapatos le quedaban un poco grandes.
–Son preciosos y cálidos,
muy cálidos –dijo la niña– pero…
–No hay peros que valgan –contesté–, quédatelos.
