About Me

I have veterinary and pharmacy bachelor’s degrees and a master of business administration degree in project management. I have worked for more than 10 years with regulatory affairs for pharmaceutical and chemical companies (including multinational ones), especially in the veterinary field. Brazilian Portuguese is my native language and I have full professional proficiency in both English and Spanish languages. Through the course of my career, I had the opportunity to work translating technical scientific documents from English and Spanish to Portuguese in order to write reports for regulatory submissions to Brazilian authorities. I lived in US from July 2021 to October 2022, where I could improve my fluency in English.

My professional methodology for a standard translation project is

First, I read the source text to understand the general purpose of the content. If necessary, I do some research to clarify terms and ideas. Then I translate it using a CAT tool, always considering the target audience adapting the text accordingly. Finally, I perform the quality assurance process and a final review.
