About Me

Born and raised in Brazil, I have a Bachelor’s degree in Advertising & Social Communication, and an MBA in Corporate Communication.

After 12 years working in Advertising and TV production agencies as a scriptwriter, director and video editor, I moved to the United States in pursuit of professional growth where I wrote scripts and edited trailers, promos and TV shows for Discovery Channel, Sony Television, Telemundo and NET Brazil (Claro Video Brazil).

During a period of 14 years, I’ve acquired a wide range of experience in translating English to Portuguese and Portuguese to English working on the subtitles and transcripts of movies, trailers, documentaries and TV shows that were broadcast on those networks mentioned above.

Upon my return to Brazil, I used all the experience I gained from TV and advertising to focus my career as a full time translator and subtitler for many agencies and clients.

This is how I would describe my work style

I love narrative, storytelling and languages. Whenever I’m working, I always think that I must tell a story in a way that will feel seamless and timeless, simple read, clear and uncomplicated. I’m very organized, so I plan ahead the number of words I need to meet everyday, review every segment so I can start fresh on the next day.
