About Me

After obtaining my Master’s Degree in translation, I have started working as a freelance translator. I regularly collaborate with different agencies (Trans4Europe, Clak, Tongues Translation Services, Lexia Park) and I have worked for numerous clients in the technical, marketing and human science fields. I also have experience in subtitling and dubbing, and I am getting more and more familiar with SEO.

My professional methodology for a standard translation project is

I always make sure to understand the subject and get familiar with the terminology used beforehand. Depending on the subject, I will read articles, and look for resources in order to make sure that I understand the subject matter before starting my translation. My next step consists of reading all the reference materials provided (style guides, for example) and consulting, if any, the client’s website in order to get familiar with the brand’s tone. During the translation process, I will make sure to make all the necessary research in order to deliver a quality translation. I rely very much on detailed and exhaustive glossaries, that I meticulously keep updated. Finally, I always make myself available in order to amend my translations after delivery if needed.
