I always make sure to use correct terminology, by referring to standards and by using or creating glossaries for bigger projects. Marketing terminology may be tricky, since your audience could be accustomed to particular phrasings. When dealing with texts that have a decent amount of marketing terms, I recommend to decide on the optimal approach before the work starts.
