My professional methodology for a standard translation project is

There is no such thing as a ‘standard’ translation project, but if you work with me, you can be certain your text has been carefully crafted by a native-speaker of English who really understands your business, and that it has been checked multiple times to make sure it’s perfect down to the last detail

I’ve been watching football and motorsport events since I was old enough to switch on a television (I haven’t missed a Formula 1 Grand Prix since 1989). I know your target audience expects you to know at least as much about your sport as they do, because I am your target audience!

As a writer in my native language, this is how I would describe my style

My aim is always to produce a text that reads so well in English that readers forget they are handling a translation. As a professional translator, there is nothing more off-putting to me than reading a literal translation that allows me to reconstruct the original word-for-word. To me, a translation should do more than convey a message; it has to work as a piece of writing in its own right.
