"Experienced translating technical, healthcare and software content"
Volunteered for years at Mozilla working with all kinds of content like documentation, apps such as Firefox for Android, websites, etc. I’ve also translated videogames, such as both Steel Division games by Eugen Systems.
Hi! I’m Daniel, an English-Spanish translator, petroleum engineer and tech enthusiast from Venezuela.
My work as a translator started as a hobby that evolved into a passion. In over 8 years I’ve translated books, websites, videogames, apps, and more, and I currently work full time as a manager of a translation team in charge of handling technical content at RWS, the largest language services company in the world.
I also edit videos & images, and have many other talents.
This is how I manage terminology consistency in my area of expertise
In Trados, whenever I find a term that is repeated, I run a search through the Integrated Search Views plugin, that highlights every time it appears in a text and lets me type an expected translation and filter the instances that don’t have that expected term. I also make good use of filters so I can work as systematically as possible in regards to keeping consistency.
During my career, I’ve worked with many professionals in the Translation Industry, and I can’t help but admire Daniel’s great work both as a Translator and Project Manager. Though Daniel can translate almost anything, I want to highlight that he is a specialist in Technical Translation, capable of dealing with the most complex and high-profile projects. He has also performed extremely well in Audiovisual, Legal and Localization projects.
As a project manager, he’s always willing to help the team and the customer, and he answers all their questions. He has a broad project management experience and an excellent attitude that makes any collaboration positive and smooth.
Been working together since 2018. Excellent translator and reviewer. Helpful and easy to work with. Knowledgeable in several sectors (technology and machinery, IT, marketing, life sciences). Totally recommend.
