3 Reasons to hire a professional educational translator
Expertise. An indepth understanding of learning styles and literary devices ensures that your texts have maximum impact.
Quality sells. Your customers are more likely to return and/or recommend to others if they perceive your product to be high quality.
Save money in the long-run. High quality translations save money and make money!
My professional methodology for a standard translation project is
I begin every translation project by ascertaining the expected audience for the text aand confirming which style guide should be used. From here I conduct extensive research into terminology via both parallel texts and linguistic concordance software.
This provides a solid basis for the project and informs the translation process. Throughout the translation open and frank dialogue with the client is maintained to ensure the final text meets the client’s needs as fully as possible.
I also prefer not to take on rush jobs as I like to ‘sleep on’ my translations. If a particular turn of phrase proves challenging, when I look with fresh eyes in the morning, I often experience a eureka moment!
