About Me

I work part time as a Spanish (LatAm and European)>English freelance translator in the UK. I am extremely passionate about the work and services I provide:

I used to live in Spain and am raising my children bilingually. I speak Catalan and Italian very well. I am very professional, reliable and flexible. I have a proven track record of meeting tight deadlines ( I used to work as a Spaish teacher!) and I love to learn and constantly develop my expertise. I am a proud member of several important groups: Women in Localization, Emerging Translators Network, CIOL, and the North West Translators Network.

My professional methodology for a standard translation project is

Create a first (rough) draft highlighting any problematic words/phrases
Use online dictionary to decide on best fit or use Cat Tool for technical terminology
Create a second draft having taken a substantial break
Proof read second draft (send to a colleague to quality assure)
Send final, polished translaton to client
