About Me

I love helping researchers communicate their research accurately in clear, elegant English. I offer editing and revision services as well as translation.
I was a hands-on social researcher for more than 25 years, specialising in education, so I understand survey research inside out, including the full spectrum of methodology issues. Legal translation is something I’ve become interested in since completing my Masters in Specialised Translation—it’s another area where meticulous research and language skills are required—and I have invested a lot of time in training in this area, particularly in the translation of contracts.
In my view, any document you’re presenting to other people should be clear and logical, flow well, and have style, as well as impeccable grammar and spelling. If that’s what you want for your documents, I can help, whether you are looking for a translation or for someone to polish a text written in English.

This is how I would describe my work style

I like to work in partnership with my clients to understand what they need and give them the best solution. I am extremely methodical in my approach to translation and quality checking and I do excellent terminological research.
