I specialise in technical and business texts

I have a master’s degree in translation studies and a bachelor’s degree in electronic and electrical engineering. I translate from Spanish, French and Italian into UK English.

Prior to becoming a translator, I worked for over 12 years as an engineer and project manager in a range of sectors in the UK.

This is how I continue my learning in my area of expertise

I regularly take non-linguistic courses (roughly once per month) to improve my subject knowledge in different areas. Over the past few years, I have taken courses on metal machining, railway engineering and even wine production.

This is what motivates me to do my best work

When I have the client’s trust. The best translations are a collaboration, whereby the translator helps the client to communicate themselves, rather than communicating on their behalf.
