High-quality experience

Before going freelance, I spent four years working in-house for one of the world’s largest translation providers.

This gave me the opportunity to translate for industry-leading clients and develop specialisms in three main areas:

• Technical

As well as standard translation, I also offer subtitling, i.e. the creation of English subtitles for videos with German, French or English audio.

Press releases and marketing brochures

I have translated press releases and marketing brochures for clients including top sports car manufacturers and specialists in sensor technology and process automation.

Magazine content

Some of the most fun and creative translations I have worked on include magazine articles about sports car driving experiences and change in retail.

Technical documentation

I have translated instruction manuals and other technical documentation for forklift trucks, flow-monitoring devices and many other products.

Training content

I have translated presentations and subtitles for training courses on highly technical subjects such as working on a high-voltage battery.

Documentaries

I have created subtitles for documentaries on a wide range of topics, from the effects of light pollution on nature to growing up in post-conflict Belfast.
