How I spend my days
► translating (20+ years of doing so daily, still love it) ► learning (anything related to languages, books, computer science, and more) ► networking (because learning from others) ► helping colleagues & everybody else (because good karma) ► participating in teams (either as a lead or a member; again, learning…) ► sharing (all the great things I learn and the resources I find mainly through blogs, podcasts and virtual events)
My background
Born and raised in beautiful Heraklion, Crete; studied and worked in the UK (Cambridge), France (Paris) and Germany (Cologne); worked and lived in Greece (mostly Athens) for another 13 years after my studies, then moved to Canada in 2014 (proud Canadian citizen since 2018). Always loved languages and knew I wanted to pursue a career as a translator since elementary school.
There, now you have plenty of fodder for small talk when we chat or meet :)
