I am an Affiliate Member of the ITI (Institute of Translation and Interpreting). I am highly committed to professional CPD, having completed courses in technical translation, scientific writing and translating German to English patents, amongst many others.

I embrace the best uses of the best technical translation tools along with the best uses of my many years of training, expertise and experience along with a close attention to detail. Combining all of these makes for a high quality polished translation.

My professional methodology for a standard translation project is

Read the whole text.
Ask the client what the purpose of the translation is: the intended audience, their level of expertise, the aims of the text, the register and style required.
Identify any potential questions regarding terminology, acronyms etc.
Translate the text within the agreed timeframe.
Be available for any follow-up questions after delivery of the translation.
