About Me

I am a translator with extensive experience spanning a period of 35 years, translating from French, Portuguese and Spanish into English. My qualifications include a BA Dual Hons in French and Portuguese, a Diploma in Spanish, a Diploma in Commercial Translation, as well as a Master of Business Administration, in addition to other language and business courses that I have undertaken. I am proficient in the use of various CAT technologies, and have Trados 2024. My areas of focus are business, legal, medical, technical and general translations, including OEs. The services I provide include translation, MTPE, transcription, proofreading/editing.

Read the source text well to ensure complete understanding.
Translate the first draft, checking terminology as I go.
Read and correct the first draft against the source text, creating a second draft.
Read the second draft thoroughly to ensure that it flows well and is consistent, quality and spell check before delivery to the client.
