As a writer in my native language, this is how I would describe my style

Descriptive, with a touch of cliché-ness that strives to leave the reader with a sweet taste in their mouth.

When clients request literal translations, this is how I handle the situation

I try explaining that, while it is a single language they’re requesting, literal translations often have grammar errors that could make the sentence lose its original meaning. I offer a clean translation in the way I consider best and see if the client thinks it’s good enough to keep.
