I translate from Portuguese, Spanish and Catalan into English. I have an MA in Literary Translation from the University of East Anglia and my specialist fields are literary, academic, sport, education and culture. I also offer editing and proofreading services.

My work has included translating books, children’s books, book chapters, short stories, academic papers, journalism and more. I also provide reader’s reports on foreign language books and have edited and proofread a wide variety of texts, from literary to technical.

My published literary work includes a co-translation of a book by José Eduardo Agualusa, as well as translating short fiction by Gabriela Ruivo Trindade, Clodie Vasli and Decio Zylbersztajn.
I work on a regular basis for Spanish sports paper MARCA, adapting content for their English language website and sometimes penning original pieces.
Recent work
In 2022 so far, I have translated a Brazilian novel and four Portuguese children’s books. I also edited an anthology of Afro-Brazilian short stories (which included six of my own translations), to be published in 2023 by UCL Press.
More about me
I was born in Glasgow and studied Portuguese and English Literature at the University of Edinburgh. I have also lived in Sussex, Lisbon, Coimbra, Logroño, Vitoria-Gasteiz and Norwich, where I completed my MA.
In addition to my translation and related work, I also have over five years’ experience working in education in England and Spain.
