I am Amber, a Chinese native with a passion for language and translation. With my education and work experience in finance, business, management, economics, and marketing, combined with my passion for culture and photography, I am confident that my background and experience make me a strong fit for the job.
As a recent Master of Economics graduate from the Central University of Finance and Economics, I have developed a strong foundation in finance and economics that will enable me to effectively translate financial and business documents. During my time at an insurance company, I gained practical experience and honed my translation skills in a professional setting. I have also translated numerous TED Talk videos as a volunteer translator for over seven years, which has helped me to further develop my language proficiency and translation skills.
My extensive knowledge of Chinese culture, combined with my experience as an award-winning photographer, has given me a deep understanding of how to appropriately convey cultural nuances in my translations. Additionally, my proficiency in Stata, SPSS, ArcGIS, Photoshop, and Lightroom allows me to effectively translate technical content related and various types of documents, including reports, presentations, and images, accurately and efficiently.
I am a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual who always strives for excellence in my work. As an IELTS test-taker with an overall band score of 8, I have demonstrated my proficiency in English. I am committed to delivering high-quality translations that accurately convey the intended message while maintaining the integrity of the source material. I understand that every project is unique, and I am always willing to go the extra mile to ensure that my translations meet the client’s specific needs.
This is what motivates me to do my best work
